Madonna Confesses Dance Floor Tour May Be Coming

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

It’s not official but Madonna may be bringing her phenomenally
successful CD, Confessions on a Dance Floor, live to a venue near
you. To date, Confessions has sold nearly 1.29 million copies in the
United States alone. It continues to top sales charts in the UK, and
Madonna was recently recognized as the female artist with the most
number one hits in the UK. It seems almost certain that Madonna’s
fan base will soon be pleading for her to finalize preparations for a
Confessions tour. How do we know Madonna may be preparing
for a tour? While not coming out and making it official, she has
made some statements that hint at the possibility.

In a recent interview, Madonna spoke about some performances
she has booked for the near future. She will be performing at the
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, on
April 30, 2006. She said, “I am especially excited about playing
Coachella before I start my own tour.” In some interviews
Madonna even talked about her vision for her next tour, some ideas
she has for its visual presentation on the stage and what the
Confessions on a Dance Floor show will represent for her.

Madonna’s plans for her tour aren’t specifically connected to
Confessions, but when she says things such as, “I want them (the
audience) to feel like they’re inside a disco ball,” it’s hard to imagine
that her vision doesn’t involve Confessions. Other statements like, “I
want a sound system in surround and the dancers personalities to
come out” indicates that a tour for Confessions is highly likely. So
what is all this excitement about?

Confessions, the fourteenth album/CD created by Madonna, is a
mix of anything you want it to be. It’s about power and
empowerment and love and its costs. In this re-invention of
Madonna herself and the disco-era, she has come back with
possibly the best work she has ever done. There are blogs and
message boards full of comments on Confessions. “I never even
liked this woman and I have to say, this is real good stuff,” one
person noted. Other comments include, “Only Madonna could bring
back disco and dance with the popularity it had in the 1970’s.”

It has been suggested that not only will she tour but that she will
focus, as she has in the past, on dance. Wherever Madonna goes
many others follow. She wants people to “get out of their seats″ in
response to the music. She wants them to “have a good time
straight through and non-stop.” Considering that one song on the
CD is a hit single and she co-wrote and co-produced Confessions
with Stuart Price, (Madonna’s musical director on her 2002
Drowned World Tour and last summer’s Reinvention Tour) one
may assume that Confessions on a Dance Floor will be a visually
extraordinary concert.

Madonna, of course, didn’t do this all by herself. The genius forces
of musicality that worked with her on Confessions will no doubt
help her make the tour just as successful as the CD. Assistance
from artisans such as Bloosdhy and Avant (Grammy winners), the
producer of Madonna’s last two albums– Mirwais Ahmadzai, and
co-writer Henrik Jonback will bring the live version of Confessions
to the stage.

Madonna’s part in producing this album comes from her fascination
with post modernism and technology. In talking about the making of
Confessions on a Dance Floor she said, “I’m trying to find the
soulfulness in technology and playing with that. I would prefer to not
have back-up singers. I would rather take my own voice and layer
it and change it and put effects on it so it sounds like a lot of
different tones and timbres.”

Madonna fans know that this artist loves her craft. She is excited
about her music and passionate about bringing it to the stage. If you
haven’t heard the entire CD yet, you are in for a treat. This is the
kind of CD that requires you either find a place to relax and just
listen or occupy a space where you can start moving. There is no
typical break between the songs. This music will make even those
that don’t dance get up and move their feet. The Mistress of Visual
Artistry herself is the only one who can bring Confessions on a
Dance Floor to life on stage. Throughout the world of music, it is
rumored that this tour could start as soon as August or September
2006. Start getting in line for tickets!

Passing by the Cathedral (In English and Spanish)

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

I often passed by the St. Paul Cathedral:

Passing by in a car;
Perhaps I’ve passed it a million times,
I’ve never counted, it always swells

My heart.
I pass it so fast (nowadays, or so it seems)
It’s hard to make it out; but no need to, I

Know it by heart…,

I want to get out of the car and go up to it:

It rests on a summit (the highest point
in St. Paul, I do believe), to what, I’m not sure,

It seldom changes its composure.

A passing glimpse is all I get—my eyes are not

As quick, or swift as they used to be—
Getting old.

When I was young: to walk in those great halls

Of hers, or under her great dome—walk
Around those monstrous pillars: often crossed

My mind—and one day I did, and I seemed
So very small, listening to my echo… return!

In autumn, its copper dome looks bluish, with

Autumn colors of: red, orange, green and blue
(around it): most beautiful. Leaves brushed across

It’s encircling streets and lawns, by the
Minnesota winds….

They put on brown copper to its dome, a new
Roof, they call it; about five years ago, that no one

On earth likes—heaven I doubt will even
Glance at it now.

It’s a shame, the young folks will only have
Pictures to look at how it used to be, until that is,

Until the copper molds with age again.

Colores otoñales: rojo, naranja, verde y azul

English Language in a Sorry State

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

In a damning assessment of the state of college education in the United States in the American magazine The New Yorker last month, Louis Menand noted that, of the 1.5 million students who will graduate from colleges and universities in the United States this year, only four percent had majored in English. This figure seems even more start when compared with the 22 percent who majored in business, the largest proportion of all.

Then, Menand went on to write, ‘There are more bachelor’s degrees awarded every year in Parks, Recreation, Leisure, and Fitness Studies than in all foreign languages and literatures combined.’ No wonder that, earlier in his report, he proclaimed, ‘College … is, basically, a sleepover with grades.’

What Menand called the ‘hypercompetitive’ nature of university studies reflects the same quality in the job market into which the new graduates will be trying to find their coveted slots. The relatively low number of English majors mirrors both the cultural devaluation of language and literature studies – especially, it seems, one’s own. And, in this increasingly ‘practical world,’ it points to the meager number of relatively ill-paying job to which English majors are consigned: an ever-shrinking number of university professorships in the same field (in which it seems that, soon, all languages except programming codes will be ‘dead’ languages); the dwindling number of posts for reporters, critics and the like for the rapidly declining number of print media; and, at the bottom of the sorry pile, public school teachers at the primary and secondary levels.

Nothing in Menand’s report suggests that the trend is in any way reversible. In a world that is self-combusting, it’s difficult to argue for the need for more Chaucer scholars. Still, the de-emphasis on languages and language skills is, noticeably, taking its toll on the output of graduates in virtually all fields. There are few jobs tailored for university graduates that do not entail some kind of writing – one aspect of which is, presumably, communication.

It has now become an accepted fact that most graduates of institutions as famous and laudable as Harvard and Stanford (say nothing of the other 4,000 institutions of higher education in the United States) – in fields from what were once known as the ‘liberal arts’ (a term, Menand adds, that has been decommissioned) to medicine – are unable to consistently write a grammatical declarative sentence in English because they don’t know what one is.

Think, then, what the plurality of business majors are capable of, language-wise. In an increasingly globalized working environment, communications has become more, not less important. If communications is to be valued as more than a form of technology, some radical – and currently unimaginable – changes are called for. Good grammar is more than polite it is the means to effective communication and true understanding in a world in which international misunderstandings could have deadly consequences.

Types of Actors

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

All humans are actors to some extent. This sounds Shakespearean but it is very true. Many times we have done what we do not like and many times we begin to like what we are doing. We represent those very feelings on stage or before the camera in the form of characters. The person’s who enact those characters are actors.

The hero-actor in a play or a film is not always the protagonist though usually he is so. The plot of a story or a play takes the hero through a number of coincides or circumstantial changes to show that he can adjust in any space and time and yet remains a leader or a savoir.

Well! A tragic hero on the other hand distorts his own good circumstance and he also worsens in his temperament in such a way that the spectators sympathizes with wraths than looking down on him. In both the above cases the actors who portray these characters must be very skilled in showing their feelings by their eyes, the face and of course the body. Sometimes they may have to overact.

The comedians have to keep improvising methods to portray the force in the society and the foolishness of the rich who haven’t experienced the world around and take it for granted that all happiness can be commodities. Many times a comedian performs serious roles yet he makes us laugh-he is an actor.

The lady on the other hand whether a heroine or a vamp usually shows excess feminine energy either she is a sacrificing friend, a mother or a seductor. To portray these feelings the lady actors need very good supporting actors.

The dancers or singers are also actors who are usually speaking of the hero, the heroine or the villain who would like to confess, or it could be about love, hate, or jealousy. Many times mindsets are condemned through a singer who also dances.

Basically the actors are also informal teachers.

How to Conduct A Complete Background Check On Anyone

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

The reasons for wanting to conduct an investigation on someone (doing a background check) are as diverse as the ways in which to do so…

In other words - your interest in finding out more about your subject could be as simple as being “curious″ - to being as serious as verifying the assets of an investor, conducting criminal activity investigations and so on. Or maybe you want to investigate your spouse’s past - or their current activity.

Regardless, the following tips can be universally applied to any type (or purpose) of investigation…

1. Get Organized!

If you′re going to be serious about uncovering the facts about a person or situation, then you′ll not only need to be relentless and dedicated - you need to be as organized as possible.

Why?

Because, as is often said - the “devil” is in the details…

One piece of seemingly “insignificant” information could later become a pivotal piece of the puzzle. Therefore, you need to keep a log of everything you currently know, as well as any - and I mean ANY - extra information you run into during this process.

Whether it’s a simple notepad or a wireless, hand-held computer, you need to be VIGILANT when it comes to storing, organizing and referring to facts that you′re able to collect.

2. Start In Your Own Backyard, First

If you’re conducting an investigation about someone you know - or if you’re wondering who’s been calling from an unfamiliar phone number - before you start searching for information from outside sources, be sure to do a thorough check of your OWN documents, records, day-planners, computer files and so on.

That “strange” phone number could belong to a friend or relative, and maybe it’s located in an old dusty address book.

That’s just one example.

Regardless, if applicable to your situation, start “close to home”, and then step up the investigation if need be. This could potentially save you hours (or days) of time right off the bat.

One tool that we recommend is Google’s “Desktop Pack″, which includes a great search tool that searches through the files, documents and archives on your PC just as if it were a web search.

You can download it (free) by going to pack.google.com

3. The Three Best Sources For Obtaining Information

Time is of the essence, so let’s review the three most-likely sources for valuable information in ANY investigation…

A) People who know your subject and/or have been in contact with them. Keep in mind that most people are willing to respond to your questions if you ask them in a polite manner, and without “beating around the bush”.

B) Printed materials, documents and records. These include: directories, newspaper content, magazine articles, medical records, financial records, utility records, employment & rental applications, and public government records. (This is the so-called “paper-trail”)

C) Information Providers - database companies - who have access to government/public records and other data. These usually charge a nominal fee for access or use.

4. Google(TM) Can Find A Lot More Than You Might Think…

Search engines like Google(TM) are frequently under fire due to the fact that sensitive information like banking information, credit card numbers, invoice records, specific contact information, addresses and other personal details can often be pulled up in seconds just by running a simple search.

For example, Google’s “spider” (the algorithm that “visits” millions of web pages periodically in order to effectively build its index of listings) can often end up indexing sensitive pages such as account login details, job applications, and even customer databases on e-commerce websites.

In every case, this is due to an inexperienced web developer or a mistake/error on the part of the website owner, as webmasters can easily secure or hide web content by building their sites properly. (It’s not the fault of the search engine, although it’s not uncommon).

Regardless, due to literally tens of thousands of these types of “slip-ups” by sites that manage some kind of user base or submission process, it’s possible to find a lot more than you might think by using Google, Yahoo and MSN search.

For example, you might try searching for some of these variables to see if any of them have been indexed, which would likely lead to further information:

* Email Address

* Residential Address

* Phone Number (Even a cell phone)

* SSN Number

* Vehicle ID Number (VIN)

* Driver’s License Number

* Their Full Name (could pull up public records or, in rare cases, legal opinions)

* Job Title & Company

* Credit Card Number

And so on.

This seemingly “obvious″ method can often work wonders.

5. Public Records

Did you know that the general public can freely access court records (both criminal and civil), the national sex offender registry, inmate records, bankruptcy filings, marriage/divorce records and similar records in the United States?

There’s no “one” central location for searching public records like this, and most databases are limited to a specific county, state or municipality.

My suggestion is to simply run a search in Google.com for the type of records you’re looking for, and the location. So, for example, if you wanted to investigate someone in Boise, Idaho, you could run a search like this:

Court Records Boise Idaho

Filter through the results until you find an actual court website with court records or dockets available for the site users. In many cases, you won’t be charged access, while others will manage access to their records through a consolidated search engine such as PACER (The US Judiciary’s central ‘Public Access to Court Electronic Records’), which will cost a few cents per page view.

Court records are a broad term that can encompass basically any type of legal action. If, for example, you wanted to see if someone has a criminal history, you could search for their name in the applicable court records databases, as well as in the US Judiciary’s Sex Offender Registry, VINELink’s inmate database, and the Federal Penitentiary database of inmates.

Alternately, if you wanted to gain an idea of someone’s financial history, you could run a search for civil lawsuits, as credit card companies and similar creditor agencies will sue debtors if there’s been an issue of prolonged nonpayment or contractual breaches. Bankruptcy filings can also be accessed in some locations.

Again, public records sources are invaluable, but they can also be difficult to find. If you’ll be doing investigations frequently, you might consider investing in a membership site or software program that organizes public records searches from one central location. Prices range from $29.99 - $49.99 on average.

In conclusion, conducting a complete background check on someone isn’t just possible - it’s become much easier these days with the advent of the internet and online public records.

Follow these tips in chronological order for the most effective and efficient investigation possible.

Chris Rempel just released a program called “Your Spying Eyes”, which organizes public records searches and makes it easy for anyone to conduct background checks!

Round Ball: Square Players

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Chatting off the record, one Las Vegas bookmaker recently remarked that the NCAA Tournament was his favorite time of year.

“It’s better than the Super Bowl because it’s about more than the money,” he declared.

“People who come to town for it are true fans and many have been coming for years. They get together and it’s like a family reunion.

“It’s the only time all year you see more squares than wise guys.”

Bet shops throughout Clark County are bracing for a crush March 16-19 and tip off of the Big Dance.

Several hundred thousand hoops junkies are expected to join the Sin City Mayhem crowd for those first four days of action as the field is slashed to 32 the first two days and 16 the next two.

Wednesday night marked the start of some conference tournaments while others get underway Thursday.

The Hilton book was full for the small stuff Wednesday night and, like other valley stores, is expected to be rocking from the rafters at this time next week when TV viewers get a steady diet of basketball for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“Oh yeah, we’ll be busy,” oddsmaker/supervisor Jeff Sherman said.

“College basketball has been brisk and we’ve been doing first and second half total for a while now.

“The players love them.”

The SuperBook will offer betttors a parlay card for Round 1 games, covering the first two days.

“We can get them out in advance, but there’s not enough turnaround time to do it for the weekend,” Sherman said.

Arizona Charlie’s East and West, which are under the Stratosphere Tower’s wing, each are sponsoring free $10,000 NCAA parlay card-type contests, which should create even heavier traffic than usual with players consistently returning to sumbit updated entries.

The Stratosphere is sitting this one out, however.

“We’ve been in it the last few years, but again it’s a matter of clientele,” Robert Jaynes, the Stratosphere’s race and sports director, said.

“Midweek’s quiet around here and business explodes on weekends.

“The other two places are locals casinos that get a steady flow of people all week.

“We have different people all the time so it just doesn′t fly here.

“We used to have the lowest enrty total of all three places, so we did the sensible thing.”

Photography And Digital Photography Today - The Possibilities Are Endless

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

What is photography?

In the book sense of the word, photography is the art or process of producing images of objects on photosensitive surfaces however to us as individuals, photography is a much more sentimental and meaningful activity. Photography is about capturing those special moments, it is about making a memory come to life, it is about making the living moments last forever, and it is about preserving years of your life in such a way that will allow you to enjoy them for many years to come. Today there are so many different ways to not only produce photographs but also many ways to save and preserve your most memorable occasions…your wedding or a child’s wedding, the birth of a child or a grandchild, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, the list goes on and on. We all know how great it is to have our special moments on hand to view at our leisure so that we can remember those times with our friends and loved ones, reminisce to times gone by but kept alive through our pictures.

Using a digital camera gives you so many options on how to both take pictures and share those pictures with your friends and loved ones. Not only is using a digital camera easy but it allows you to capture your memories and share them for all to see with minimal effort and at little to no cost to you. Using digital cameras allows you to review the pictures that you take, only keeping those pictures that you consider to be the best while deleting those that don’t meet your satisfaction, freeing up space to take more. Then the photos that are saved can be preserved and shared in a number of different ways.

These photos can be uploaded onto a computer and burned on to a recordable CD and DVD for viewing on your television or personal computer. As another option, your photos can be uploaded to photo sharing websites and from these sites you can have your memories printed on a number of different items such as magnets, calendars, greeting cards, tote bags, clothing, necklace charms, cakes, etc which serve as fantastic gifts for yourself, your friends and your family members. Additionally, your digital camera photo storage disk can be taken to a discount store where the photos can be extracted and printed as regular photos that can then be added to a personal scrapbook, picture frames for your home or office or shared with those people that are important in your life.

Using a photo sharing website, as mentioned above, gives you many options on which you can display your favorite photos. You can not only share them via email to your loved ones, you can also purchase a variety of products on which to enjoy your photos. If you are a coffee/tea lover, upload your favorite photo to a ceramic mug. If you don’t have the time to create a scrapbook on your own, select the photos that you want included and let these websites create a scrapbook for you or for someone as a gift. If you enjoy viewing a slide show of your photos to music, you can create a DVD from photos selected from your personal collection for viewing on your TV at home. If you enjoy the challenge of puzzles, have your photo added to a 250 piece puzzle to create not only a challenge but once complete, you will have a smile on your face looking at that favorite picture. If you are an avid poker, bridge, rummy or solitaire player, you can have your favorite pictures added to playing cards to use over and over again! One of the most creative options is to have your favorite photo added to photo frosting that can be added to a cake to enjoy at a birthday, anniversary, wedding shower or baby shower. You can create a number of thoughtful gifts for your friends and family that they will remember and enjoy for many years to come.

In conclusion, there is an abundance of information on the web today to help you decide what photography options will work best for you and your own personal needs and preferences.

So what are you waiting for? Go out and get started today.

Films - March Of The Wooden Soldiers

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

People could have said that casting Laurel and Hardy in the 1934 classic “March Of The Wooden Soldiers″, based on the Victor Herbert operetta “Babes In Toyland”, was simply a PR stunt to get them involved in the movie only to show off their comic talents and nothing more. Certainly how could they add anything to the plot? Well, people who said that couldn’t be more wrong. Laurel and Hardy added more to this movie than most people realize as they were ultimately the ones who saved Toyland. More on how later.

The plot is pretty simple. The evil Silas Barnaby, played magnificently by Henry Brandon, wants the hand of Little Bo Peep. She wants nothing to do with this wretched excuse for a human being. So, to get even with her, he goes to her home and threatens mother Peep, the little old lady who lived in a shoe, with eviction if she didn′t pay the mortgage, which he happened to own. When Hardy finds out about this he offers to pay the mortgage for her but discovers he’s broke. He tells her not to worry, that he would get the money from the toymaker. Well, things don′t go as well as he predicted, having botched the order for toy soldiers and making them too big for kids to play with and he and Laurel get fired.

Well, the wedding has to go on and it does, except with Laurel standing in for Bo Peep. When Barnaby discovers this, of course not until after the mortgage is torn up, he vows to get even. He does. He frames Tom Tom for the kidnapping of one of the three little pigs. Tom Tom is then sentenced to Bogie Land. But Laurel and Hardy soon discover that Barnaby was the one who stole the pig and framed Tom Tom. The chase through Bogeyland now begins.

Eventually, the chase leads back to Toyland where Barnaby makes his final attack along with the Bogeymen. In an effort to defeat them once and for all, Laurel and Hardy activate, you got it, the toy soldiers. The soldiers march out into the town and do battle with Barnaby and the Bogeymen, driving them all back to Bogeyland.

The movie was not only well done but featured some of the most beautiful music and singing. Highlights included “Don’t Cry Bo Peep”, “Toyland” and “Go To Sleep” among others. The acting was superb, especially Brandon who played Barnaby. Brandon was actually a very young man in his 20s when the movie. But great makeup and his magnificent performance had everyone believing that he was much older. Brandon stole the movie from everyone. He was pure genius in a role that most people overlook when discussing the greatest parts of all time.

Every year around Thanksgiving or Christmas this classic film is shown. It has been shown every year for at least 40 years. And through all this time it remains as great as it was the first time anybody saw it as a young child. Truly one of the greatest holiday movies ever made.

Lotto System: Interview With The Creator Of Lotto System That ROCK The Market!!!

Monday, January 29th, 2007

Lotto System: How you can win lotto easily and automatically

In this article, we will discuss on “A personal interview with the

Honest Lotto System’s creator, Ken Silver.”

Q: Hi Ken, thanks for joining us in this interview. Before we talk
about your lotto system, tell us a little about your background.

Ken: It really all started with the lotto system. I first developed
the Honest Lotto System in the early 90’s, and it sold really well
through direct mail. After a couple of year’s success with it I wrote
a “how-to” manual about my experience and how others could do
it–which also sold well. In fact you can still buy it today. Then I
went on to sell it over the internet in the mid-90’s and sales
increased massively. I wrote another, “eBook Secrets” about writing
How-To ebooks, and together my manuals have sold around 200,000 copies
from myself and other marketers who bought the limited number of
Rights like Ken Evoy (Make Your Site Sell) and Allan Says (The
Internet Warriors).

Q: Tell us how you developed your special lotto system.

Ken: Well, for several years in the early 90’s I had been looking for
ways to turn the lottery to my advantage, and I studied a lot of
material. It was an interesting period. You wouldn’t believe the
weird, off the wall theories out there. I even read one book that
claimed several thousand people could ‘will’ the numbers they wanted
through mass ESP (Extra Sensory Perception).

Q: Strange solutions indeed. How did you figure out your own system
then?

Ken: Through a lot of hard thought and lateral thinking. It helped
that my late father was a brilliant optical engineer, and some of his
analytical mathematical abilities might have rubbed off me! When I
found the “eureka″ solution that seemed to work, I spent a further
couple of years researching and checking it. Although at that time I
had computers that might have sped the whole research process up, the
Honest Lotto System doesn’t actually work on patterned or computed
numbers. So it had to be done by hand. Took a while.

Q: Why is your so system different that you couldn’t use a computer?

Ken: I found that despite the blinding speed and computational
abilities of modern systems even back then, no-one had actually come
up with a way to predict a win from past draws. This was the
breakthrough for me. It simply told me this: That no-one can actually
predict winning numbers through analysing and extrapolating past
results. And when I realized this, it made my own system solution much
more valuable as a result. So, although it took a while to figure out,
suddenly I had found the ‘missing link’ to winning lotto.

Q: If you say that no-one can predict a win, how does your system work
then?

Ken: The system works mainly by eliminating the millions of number
combinations that won’t win. For example, you’ll never see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in a winning draw… that is pretty unlikely. And there are
countless other losing combinations too. My Honest Lotto System
identifies these bad boys, giving the winnable combinations
preference. Easy–once you know how!

Q. How is the Honest Lotto System different from other systems out
there, like Wheeling?

Ken: Wheeling just gives a variety of number combinations. It doesn’t
make any distinction between good and bad number combinations, so most
times you are wasting your money on the many poor number selections in
there. With the Honest Lotto System, EVERY line has the best number
combination you can find, which hugely increases the chances of
winning. That makes it different from almost every other system I’ve
studied. (And if you find a system that works like the Honest Lotto
System, you can bet your bottom dollar that is was adapted from mine!)

Q: OK, that sounds good. But has anyone won with your system?

Ken: Yes indeed. The most recent was an Australian couple who won over
AU$280,000.00 using it. Many people have covered their costs, and as
well won smaller amounts up to $50,000.00. One of the main advantages
with my system is that you can be winning moderate amounts WHILE you
are waiting for the Big Win to come along–as it eventually will.

Q: Is waiting part of your system? Why can’t we get the main prize
straight off?

Ken: What many folks don’t realize is that when a system like mine
can’t predict a winning game (and this is why I call it “Honest Lotto”
because to my knowledge I’m the only system that admits that fact),
the next best thing is to ‘wait in line’ for your winning turn. So
what you’re doing here is still winning while you’re waiting for the
big one. The Honest Lotto System puts you in the line, right up near
the top of the queue. When the right combination of winning figures
strikes - you will have the correct number combination to win it. The
best thing about my system is that you don’t have to wait several
thousand years - as one academic predicted for other systems. It could
be just a small number of games before the right combination is hit.

Q: So we might have to be patient? That’s hard to do!

Ken: Many people don’t have the patience to keep going, and going,
even when the draws go against them, but the real winners will
persist. There’s a story I read in a book about the first British
Camelot lottery. Two partners in a double glazing window business took
out over a thousand pounds a week (that’s about US$1400) to play the
game. They were almost broke at the 3 month mark, but - luckily for
them then - they won several million pounds! This is an extreme
example of how persistence pays off. Imagine how much quicker they
could have won using my Honest Lotto System!

Q: I was going to bring that up, Ken. Is there another way we can win
lotto quicker with your system?

Ken: Sure. Just increase the number of tickets you play. For example,
when I play in my country, I buy 120 lines. My chance of winning is
very much less - not very good at all in fact - if I were only able to
take out 2 lines a game.

Q: Are you saying you’ve got to spend a fortune each week then?

Ken: Definitely not. Every single line using the Honest Lotto System
gives you a better chance than any other system I know. But the more
lines you have in each game, the higher your chances become. So if you
can′t afford many lines each week, you should maybe wait a month and
play then what you were going to spend each week. But I emphasis to
everybody playing any lotto game at all–make sure it is money you can
afford to lose. Because it might take weeks before you make it back or
get a major win.

Q: What do you say to those people who think lotto is bad karma?

Ken: Haven’t heard the word karma for a while! Not many people
remember that over 50% of most State-run lotto game profits go back
into the community to help worthy causes. If you ever think you’re not
helping your fellow man, think again. The community benefits from your
contribution.

Q: From your website and what you′re saying here, you sure don’t sound
like someone trying to sell your system. You′ve covered the downside
of playing too.

Ken: I’m a highly ethical person - my wife’s a pastor, so she keeps me
in line too :-) So it’s really important to me that people get the
right balance of information to play right. That’s why I’ve named my
system as an ‘honest’ concept, exactly because I bring up all the
negatives as well.

Q: Is this why you use the term “honest” a lot in your website?

Ken: Sure. Most other systems out there are highly optimistic about
you winning, but they’re mainly based on guesswork and
wrongly-calculated maths. I believe mine is the first honest
representation of what you can and can’t do with a system.

Q: Thanks for your time here. Is there a last word you want to say?

Ken: Yes, I’d like to say to all future Honest Lotto System owners
this… take a good look at my system. Don’t spend your last cent on
playing. And above all, keep going - - even when your wins are small
or take a while to come through. You WILL eventually triumph!

Q: Thanks! Readers can see Ken’s Honest Lotto System website here:

That’s all.

The Best One Hit Wonders for Your Ipod

Monday, January 29th, 2007

Ah, one hit wonders – songs that allow bands and artists to be famous for about thirty seconds. Love ‘em, hate ‘em, or shut off the radio in a fit of rage each time one airs, if you like music there is really no escape: one hit wonders are part of the musical world. Some are worth forgetting altogether – ahem, Do the Bartman – but others are well worth a listen, or fifty. The following is our selection of the best one hit wonders to put on your Ipod. Trust me, your friends will be jealous.

I’m Too Sexy: There is nothing quite as humorous as a man vocalizing his sexiness, sans a man who is not at all sexy doing it. Right Said Fred brought ego to a new height with this 1992 hit. I’m Too Sexy not only taught us what the heck a cat walk is, but it also topped the American charts for three whole weeks. Yes, three…seriously.

Tainted Love: If you ever feel like you’ve got to run away, like you’ve got to get away, you are not alone. This song by Soft Cell was released in 1981. Rumored to have been recorded in just a day and a half, Tainted Love reached number 8 on the US charts, a chart where it remained for a then-record 43 weeks. Not bad for 36 hours of work.

Marcarena: If the Marcarena taught us one thing, it taught us that we can have a song stuck in our heads for months at a time, without actually knowing the words. Recorded by Los del Rio, a Spanish music group, Marcarena was the biggest hit for a duo that had been around for decades. This song went multi-platinum and sold over four million copies in the United States. Marcarena also did well in Australia and – adopting the tell tale sign of musical success – came with its own dance.

Come on Eileen: A song still popular among lovers of eighties music, Come on Eileen virtually turned into come on let’s sing. Released in 1982, this song was the best selling British single of the year. Performed by Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Come on Eileen also saw success in the US: it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in April 1983. Today, it remains one of the most well known and beloved One Hit Wonders of all time.

Ice Ice Baby: Alright Stop. Collaborate and listen. Anyone who says they don’t know the words to Ice Ice Baby is either too old or lying. Vanilla Ice’s best known cube was released in 1991. A song that “borrowed” rifts from Queen and David Bowie’s Under Pressure, Ice Ice Baby heated up the airwaves and hit number one on the Billboard charts. Possessing fans from everywhere, this song was even nominated for a Grammy. It ultimately lost to MC Hammer’s U Can’t Touch This.

There is really no end to One Hit Wonders. As long as there is music, there will be groups that are only able to eke out a single success. Yet, despite what the title One Hit Wonder insinuates, these songs remain a part of musical history. We may as well cooperate and put them on our Ipod they are stuck in our heads for life, whether we like it or not.
